Always clean and friendly. Foods in the shop are always fresh. Love their buttermilk bread. Frequently surprised with a free grocery item after so many dollars spent.

Usually enjoy their fare but this one was way below expectations. Cheeseburger was burnt and very sloppy. Asked for fries with no salt and they were loaded. Requested new order and manager was snappy and rude. The young girl that took my initial order was very nice. This place needs a quality control check and possible management retraining or change of management. Low rating for now. Hopefully improves as I will try one more time in a few weeks.

Food was good. We ordered ice cream with our meals as well but I explained that I wanted them after we ate our food. They went ahead and made my shake and put it in the freezer when I ordered it and when I went back up to get our ice cream, they seemed like it was an issue that I was asking for our ice cream. My was definitely melted by the time I got it. My daughter's was fresh and she enjoyed it. The service definitely could improve but our food was pretty good.

Visited on a Sunday night - couldn't believe they were still open. Super friendly people, fast, quality ice cream and GREAT prices. This was a great little part of our trip to Independence, KS that we won't forget. Ice cream shops are hard to find and to find one open late on a Sunday night was unbelievable; well done!

I give this location 3 stars due to the servers. They do not know what a proper scoop of ice cream should be. I worked at Braum's as a teenager and i know they teach employees a certain way to dip since the ice cream is in square boxes. The called it "square dipping". The obviously don't teach that at the independence location. And some of the employees are vert rude if you say anything! What ever happened to the customer is always right?! Maybe it's a management issue. Hope they get it worked out!!

Wonderful icecream and shakes and their Cherry Limeade is to die for. The food isn't all that exciting though. It isn't bad, its jsut not somthung to rqve over persay.

The ice cream here is wonderful, but I didn't really like the breakfast burritos. There is also a little area for some groceries which is nice if you need to pick up a few things.

Did not eat there. Just went into the market for some ice cream to-go. Was somewhat disappointed due to them having very little stock on their shelves.

We have always enjoyed Braun’s, but today, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we entered to buy a couple of groceries and saw no employee wearing a mask or gloves! This includes those working directly with the food. This is unconscionable.Today, we again visited the Independence, Kansas, Braum’s and were sorely disappointed to see the total disregard of our governor’s order! Your customers should be required to wear masks, and your employees should wear masks to protect us all! If this continues, we will not shop at Braum’s even though we prefer your dairy products. I hope you will begin to take seriously the threat you pose against your fellow Independence community!

Always have great burgers and shakes. The store is always stocked with fresh vegetables, breads and ice cream to go along with cones and many other items. The meat is very good and many items are prepackaged for two servings. Fast friendly service.

Great menu options that allow grocery shopping in one section and fast food with customized ice cream selections. Excellent place for a roadside stop.

Service there is always super fast. Food is almost always pretty fresh. Tables and drink area could use more attention because they're usually dirty. But it's relatively clean for such a high volume place. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean. Workers are usually happy and productive. Grocery section is always cleaned and stocked. Parking area is always clean. Drive thru usually flows pretty quickly.

Grew up with Braum's and very happy with the newer store design. The one in Independence was very clean, the service was friendly and prompt. Didn't have any food, which is usually good but not great at Braum's. The Ice Cream on the other hand is great! We were both impressed that the server asked which scoop we would like on top when serving up two (or more); we were always kind of self-conscious about insisting the Butter Pecan be on top :-) . The grocery area also looked nicely laid out, organized and clean.

I've been going to Braums every summer vacation since I was a kid. I don't have one anywhere near me where I live. Everytime I find one, it brings up special memories, especially the one in Independence. It's in a different location than when I was growing up, but it's still the same delicious ice cream with the fantastic little Braums store inside.

Always ample parking. Never much of a wait.A family favorite.

Braums is a place we can always go to for a good burger or ice cream. What I really enjoy is their fresh food market. Just enough that you can make a good meal, and stock up on their great dairy products. All their foods are A-1 quality.

Who couldn't enjoy such a delicious burger as the one pictured below? Not me. I've tried. EVERY TIME I get a burger at Braum's...it total slop. I'm done with you. Not all Braum's are created equal. Oh and just because customers are nice enough to throw their own trash in the bin...DOES NOT MEAN the tables are now clean for the next customers. Please WIPE THE TABLES frequently. Some of the employees do circles around the table wiping. Then low and behold they are off to some other endeavor, and the tables never get a wipe down EVERY TIME I've eaten there... NOT ONE TABLE IS CLEAN! Nasty. This is one pocket book that will keep money. Thank you. Braum's helps customer SAVE MONEY AND MY HEALTH!

Meal was great, would line to know if they had RV parking though. Grilled chicken mushroom bacon cheese burger will fill you up

Coffe was disgusting, don’t recommend. The Latte was good, tasted like sugar though. Great service, the food is excellent, best burgers in town. Wish they had better coffee though. :(
